Job Summary:
Local Mid-South company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join their team. This is a 200 million dollar organization with multiple job locations and with the corporate offices located in the Memphis area. The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, budgeting, preparing and publishing monthly financial statements. This position will also include financial risk management.

Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the organization's goals and objectives
- Manage the organization's budgeting process, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on financial performance
- Conduct regular financial analysis and provide recommendations for improvement
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders monthly.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Identify resources needed and select, develop and retain top financial talent.
-Maximize returns on excess cash balances and improve closing and reporting cycles.
-Aid the CFO and other Management personnel and perform special projects as needed.
-Develop and document business processes as accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
-Analyze trends to reduce financial risks associated with making investments or spending decisions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably as a Director of Finance or similar position
- Strong knowledge and experience of GAAP
- Proficient in account analysis and general ledger accounting
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial report writing
- Experience in investment management and strategic financial planning
- Previous experience in public accounting is highly desirable
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
