Director of Finance
Greystone Programs is currently seeking a Director of Finance who, in conjunction with our CFO, will be responsible for the financial health of Greystone Programs, Inc. The Director of Finance manages the accounting aspects of the Agency, assists with budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, profit and loss reporting, and compliance with the non-clinical aspects of contracts and interacting with state and federal agencies as necessary. The Director of Finance, along with CFO, will oversee all accounting activities related to accounts payable, accounts receivable collection, auditing, tax compliance and payroll.
Essential Duties include:

Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

Implement strategies to achieve the financial goals of the Agency. Ensure financial plans are consistent with the organization’s strategic objectives.

Along with CFO, will be responsible for all areas of the accounting function, including but not limited to account receivable, account payable, cash management, developing reporting (both internal and external) and overseeing appropriate financial procedures and controls.

Manage the organization’s cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed. Optimize the Agency’s banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.

Prepare accurate monthly, annual & quarterly financial reports. Analyze financial data to identify trends and variations and make recommendations to improve financial performance.

Assess and manage the organization’s financial risk, overseeing investment strategies and policies.

Mentor and develop the finance team – managing work distribution, provide training and development, problem resolution, performance evaluation and maintaining an effective team dynamic.

Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.

Oversee the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts and various financial models.

Monitor annual operating budget, maintenance project budget, and capital project budget.

Ensure compliance with statutory law and finance regulations. Develop and maintain internal constraints and policies to safeguard the financial integrity of the organization.

Coordinate all audit activity and assist external audit and 990 tax forms.

Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the Agency’s financial status.

Assist leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.

Support CFO in engaging the finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.

Oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period; collate financial reporting materials for government, corporate, and foundation grants.

Manage organizational cash flow & forecasting schedule to assess the financial efficacy of program operations.
Qualified candidates must have:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting; CPA and/or MBA preferred.

7 years of accounting and finance experience, ideally with experience in a complex nonprofit that has multiple programs.

Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.

Experience in grants management as it relates to compliance and reporting of government, corporate and foundation grants.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board or other outside partners.

Ability to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers.
