Finance & Insurance Manager offers finance or insurance options to clients through established relationships with lenders/providers. Explains offerings and recommends products to meet the needs of the client. Being a Finance & Insurance Manager negotiates contract terms and rates to meet the goals of the organization. Ensures applications and paperwork are completed correctly and in a timely manner. Additionally, Finance & Insurance Manager may Require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Finance & Insurance Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Finance & Insurance Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Responsibilities
- Contract new business, sell and close deals
- Generate finance income on all sold customers
- Check/verify paperwork involved with cash, finance or lease transactions, and protect the dealership.
- Contract or collect all money at closing
- Seek bank approval on financed and leased deals
- Maintain a working knowledge of leases
- Acquire approval from lenders
- Understand all programs and rate options offered by our lenders
- Solicit extended warranty sales (aftermarket)
- Handle all cancellations for extended warranties.
Experience:
- Automotive F&I: 1 year
