As a Senior Finance Manager your responsibilities will be:
- Key business partner to Operations VPs & Directors providing analysis, insights & decision support for operation teams and plants for key metrics and financial performance.
- Lead the annual planning & forecast process and contribute to the strategic planning process including coordination with operations leaders. Prepare schedules, provide direction, and set expectations on behalf of COO, VPs, and Directors.
- Support operations business partners by providing analysis of costs to drive productivity, quote new business, prepare for capital appropriation requests, and communicate business performance.
- Business partner and lead for physical inventories, standard costing, inventory reconciliations, controls, and audit.
- Support the consolidated monthly closing processes and providing month end accounting support for operations activities including balance sheet reconciliations (E&O Reserve, Freight, Utilities, Rebates, etc.).
- Prepare monthly reporting in accordance with business partner demands to drive explanations and corrective actions.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to support operations decision making – this can include but is not limited to; capital investments, changing of business models, margin improvement ideation, costing models, etc.
- Leverage emerging financial tools, to proactively increase the efficiency of finance providing support to the operations teams.
- Effectively leverage cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectives.
- Support the recruiting and developing top finance talent. Creates, promotes, and sustains a performance culture. Continuously raises the performance bar for the finance organization.
- Enhance employee experience & continue building employee engagement for the department along with being a representation of CNGs values (Committed, Collaborative, Caring, Courageous, Curious, and Competitive)
A strong Senior Finance Manager will possess:
- Required, bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. MBA preferred.
- 8 years of experience in finance/accounting; ideally with experience in cost accounting, forecasting/budgeting, and financial analysis
- Self-Starter with strong financial acumen, analytical rigor & process management skills; Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Proven ability to foster strong team engagement, build highly effective teams and develop talent.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to build trust, influence and foster relationships cross functionally.
- Passion to understand a business & what drives it; Demonstrated ability to make the complex simple to drive impactful insights & influence executive leadership.
- Ability to translate ideas into clear, high impact communications & compelling presentations.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite (Advanced in Excel & PP). Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and/or Alteryx a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of financial analytics leveraging multiple sources of data.
- Leadership Skills – proven collaborator, trust builder, & entrepreneurial
