Finance Manager manages the daily financial activities and functions for an organization including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Ensures all financial operations are in compliance with governmental rules and regulations. Being a Finance Manager forecasts and manages a cash flow that meets the needs of the company. Provides guidance to managers in financial reporting objectives and standards to ensure accurate, compliant and useful financial reporting is produced. Additionally, Finance Manager oversees the budget process and works with managers to produce and manage effective budgets. Acts as an advisor to management on regulations and other matters that may impact the financial activities of the company, engaging with outside consultants if applicable. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior manager or director. The Finance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Finance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions, including monitoring the day-to-day financial operations within the company (payroll, invoicing, and other transactions)
    • Coordinating and working with accountant in preparing all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
    • Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
    • Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
    • Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
    • Works with Leadership to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
    • Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
    • Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
    • Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.
    • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting of business results
    • Monitoring financial details to ensuring legal compliance with accounting policies, as well as federal, state, and local legal requirements
    • Providing management with financial information vital to the decision-making process
    • Preparing and managing budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data
    • Assessing current business, administration, and accounting operations/processes, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
    • Monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining accounting and internal control systems
    • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
    • Leads planning and forecasting activities with management to achieve company goals
    • Creating strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts.
    • Analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company
    • Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, and make recommendations as needed
    • Managing the external IT function
    • Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of business.
    • Develops and enforces internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
    • Oversees and supports financial and HR team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
    • Maintaining an accurate filing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents
    • Other duties as assigned by COO/Integrator

    REQUIREMENTS & PREFERENCES:
    • 7 Years accounting experience (required)
    • Knowledge of QuickBooks platform (required)
    • Public accounting experience (preferred)
    • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (preferred)

    SKILLS:
    • Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
    • Managing processes
    • Developing standards
    • Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of staff
    • Excellent business judgement, analytical, and decision-making skills
    • Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, etc.
    • Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Strong history of financial project management
