Finance Manager manages the daily financial activities and functions for an organization including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Ensures all financial operations are in compliance with governmental rules and regulations. Being a Finance Manager forecasts and manages a cash flow that meets the needs of the company. Provides guidance to managers in financial reporting objectives and standards to ensure accurate, compliant and useful financial reporting is produced. Additionally, Finance Manager oversees the budget process and works with managers to produce and manage effective budgets. Acts as an advisor to management on regulations and other matters that may impact the financial activities of the company, engaging with outside consultants if applicable. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior manager or director. The Finance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Finance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Work directly with customers to develop enriching relationships that improve client happiness and fuel the sales process
Process all legal and non-legal paperwork for each Sales Transactions
Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing deals
Follow through with all Contracts in Transit to ensure funding is complete
Communicate with office manager/Title clerk to ensure Titles & Registrations are processed in a timely fashion
Engage and motivate the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations and standard methodology processes
Partner with General Manager and Owner to plan and run Finance Department
Analyze business metrics to resolve shortfalls and implement action plans to elevate performance
Qualifications
Automotive dealership management experience preferred
Experience with CDK Dealership Software Tool
Experience with Darwin Dealership Software Tool
Experience with Vehicle Service Agreements and aftermarket product sales
Experience with Ford Protect and Ford credit is a plus
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Passionate about training sales team members and operating within a reciprocal environment
Enthusiastic personality with high-energy attitude
Organization and follow-up skills
Experience and desire to work with technology
High School diploma or equivalent
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
