    Description

    Title: Finance Supervisor

    Location: Administrative Office - Finance Department

    Position: Full-time 40 hours per week, Monday- Friday, exempt (salaried)

    Compensation: The full salary scale (based on 1.0 FTE) is $76,877 - $115,378 annually. Placement within the range is determined by an evaluation of the candidate’s background, education and experience.

    Bonus: Employees are eligible annually to participate in discretionary bonus programs, as determined by FCN, which include the Years-of-Service bonus program, the Quality Performance bonus program and Performance Recognition bonus programs.

    Job Summary: The Finance Supervisor is responsible for organizing and maintaining financial accounting systems, including accounts payable, general ledger, accounts receivable, employee payroll, cash disbursements, financial statements, and tax information.

    Key functions are performing monthly financial and statistical analysis, monthly reconciliation of the general ledger accounts assist in annual audit and tax return data, and cash management. Strong micro-computer skills, familiar with database management systems, familiar with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel. Good accounting skills and knowledge of healthcare finance concepts.


    We are looking for a qualified, motivated individual who will fulfill the following:

    • Develops and plans department objectives with Controller and staff; including short and long-range accounting programs in financial analysis, accounting and payroll systems.
    • Participates in financial accounting functions to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information, including Medicare cost reporting, and Medicaid reconciliation.
    • Works with Controller to prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, profit/loss statements, quarterly reports, and analysis of variances in accounts, ratios, income/expense.
    • Assists with the preparation of statistical information and reports for management, government, and other agencies.
    • Ensures timely and accurate filing of all monthly, quarterly, and annual taxes.
    • Performs financial statistical modeling as necessary.
    • Supervises and directs finance department staff.
    • Supervises the bi-weekly payroll process ensuring accurate and timely filing.
    • Supervises the Provider credentialing and re-credentialing process.
    • Performs employee evaluations.
    • Promotes teamwork in the finance department.
    • Works effectively with other leadership in problem-solving, developing, recommending, implementing and evaluation of current and proposed operations.
    • Maintains effective working rapport with all levels of the company.
    • Additional duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of advanced financial accounting, analysis, and reporting to design, modify, and manage an accounting system.
    • Knowledge of computer systems, spreadsheet and financial systems, programs and application.
    • Knowledge of management practices to lead assigned staff.
    • Knowledge of medical office practice.
    • Skills in preparing and analyzing financial data.
    • Skill in identifying and resolving accounting and financial problems.
    • Keyboarding skills with accuracy and efficiency.
    • Ability to delegate responsibility and authority to staff.
    • Ability to work creatively with management and department staff to achieve objectives.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management regarding financial policies.
    • Accurately perform detailed work, (i.e., plan, multi-task, organize and prioritize).
    • Work as part of a team that shares and leverages the strengths of its members.

    • Discern and maintain confidentiality (i.e., HIPAA, proprietary information, disciplinary actions, etc.).

An employee accrues PTO at a rate based upon the number of months of service at FCN. A new full-time employee generally accrues 18 days per year and increases over time per the Paid Time Off policy. EIB accrues based upon the number of paid hours excluding overtime, with a full-time manager accruing a maximum of 48 hours per year. Benefit eligibility is determined based on the full or part-time status of the position. Employees who are ineligible for FCN’s PTO/EIB programs accrue Paid Sick Leave per Washington State law.

    Our 401k retirement plan is designed to support you in preparing for retirement planning and includes individualized financial planning guidance. Eligibility for the FCN Retirement Plan programs is determined based upon years of service and required payroll hours.

    Qualifications


    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
    • 3-6 years experience of supervisory experience in a finance or accounting setting, health care organization experience preferred.

    Physical Requirements: Performing the duties of this job requires ability to: stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities include: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.


    Immunization Requirements: All employees at Family Care Network (FCN) are expected to meet and maintain required immunizations as a contingency of employment. The immunization requirements are as follows: Influenza (annually), Tdap (after the age of 19), MMR, Varicella or a verified history of chickenpox disease, Two-step TST or IGRA (within the last 12 months), COVID-19 vaccine completed series and any additional immunizations determined necessary for the protection of staff and patients. Hepatitis B is also required for employees in positions with a high risk of bloodborne pathogen exposure, which includes the following: Providers, RNs, LPNs, MA-Cs, Clinical Aides, PSRs at all Urgent Care Locations, and all-laboratory staff. The Hepatitis B vaccine is strongly recommended for all other employees. FCN will cover the cost of required immunizations for any FCN employee. All employee immunizations will be administered by FCN staff except for the COVID-19 vaccine. The COVID-19 vaccine can be administered at a participating pharmacy or other healthcare location. Note: A medical or religious vaccine exemption/reasonable accommodation will be considered by submitting an FCN Exemption form for review and evaluation by the Chief Medical Officer.
