Summary

The support position is responsible for assisting the Supply Chain and Finance department with daily tasks such as addition/creation/changes within the multiple computer systems or organizational reporting databases. The position works out of our Auburn Operations office, and reports to the Supply Chain Manager & Kitchen Controller. Supports company initiatives to achieve goals and objectives set by our BAFRINO mandate and the Champion Petfoods vision “to be trusted by pet lovers worldwide.”

Responsibilities

• Create, adjust Purchase Orders (P.O.s), as directed.
• Confirm Purchase Orders when Advance Shipment Notification (ASN’s)are received.
• Adjust purchase orders in the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, as directed.
• Enter or adjust Manufacturing Orders into the ERP system.
• Schedule and adjust inbound appointments.
• Maintain filing systems in the office, as related to purchasing and inventory.
• Provide assistance to any of the Supply Chain department team members, as needed.
• Perform additional assignments as directed from the Supply Chain Manager, Supply Chain Coordinators, and kitchen Controller.
• Assist in reconciling receipts/BOL to M3.
• Assist in Manufacturing Order Reconciliation and Closure.
• Scan and verify MO paperwork to sign off-paperless system.
• Perform random cycle counts in inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years’ experience in an administrative role.
• Ongoing training to keep up-to-date on regulations and software used.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong computer skills, in particular with data entry and ERP software use.
• Basic mathematical skills with ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages and averages.
• A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid conflict resolution, and people management skills.
• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team and independently.
• Excellent time and project management skills.

Work Conditions

• Work environment is in a pet food production facility office; the position works most of the time in the office by may occasionally be required to go into the production environment, with exposure to dust, noise, odors, and fluctuating temperatures.
• Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
• Able to physically inspect company property and assets.
• Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
• Overtime as required.
