Child & Family Agency of Southeastern CT is the largest non-profit children’s service provider in Southeastern CT. We are seeking a qualified professional to lead the finance and accounting functions as a critical member of the organization’s leadership team as a Director of Finance with direct oversight from the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (CFAO).
The Director of Finance directs and manages the financial activities of the organization and day-to-day fiscal operations. The Director of Finance assures transparent reporting, understanding of the operating performance, and financial position of the organization and various funding sources. They will work closely with program leaders and their staff, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures but also to explore how the finance functions can support program operations. In addition, they will partner with the CFAO, senior leadership, and the Human Resources (HR), Development and Information Technology (IT) staff to enhance and better integrate Finance, HR, Development and IT functions.
Candidates must have a BS in Accounting or higher and a minimum of five years’ experience in a high-level management position overseeing non-profit accounting department and systems. Experience with managing a fund accounting system, medical billing, and State/Federal contract reporting is required. Blackbaud NXT Experience and CPA is a plus. An MBA is preferred.
