Finance Operations Supervisor
The Finance Operations Supervisor plans, organizes and directs Casino Cage/Count Team operations, including cashier and soft count functions to ensure accurate and timely exchange of money and Casino chips, deposit and counting of revenue and maintenance of Department records; coordinate communications and personnel to meet Casino chip and currency needs; train and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
- Ensures all customers are treated promptly and courteously at all times
- Prepares count, cage and main bank team members weekly work schedules, as assigned by the Director of Finance
- Monitors the performance of subordinates, ensuring adherence to the MICS and the Count Room, Cage and Main bank section of the policies and procedures manual of the Finance Department
- Maintains awareness of all count room, cage and main bank activity and safeguards cage and mainbank bankroll at all times
- Maintains and accounts for flow of cash and related paperwork, and other areas, including performing even-money exchanges with the other casino departments
- May perform functions of subordinate staff as required
- Assists the Director of Finance in developing and implementing count room, cage and main bankarea policies and procedures to improve security and efficiency
- Reviews daily cash receipts and disbursements through the main bank
- Ensures all cash turned in by operating departments is verified
- Ensures proper preparation of the daily bank deposit
- Maintains locked boxes for keys and the key control log, and ensures proper issuance of keys
- Assists the Director of Finance to ensure Count Room, Cage and Main bank compliance with federal currency transaction reporting requirements (Title 31)
- Monitors the adequacy of currency and gaming chips amounts for daily business requirements
- Verifies and accepts funds from soft count
- Transfer necessary cash and gaming chips to main bank reserve
- Responsible for the verification of cash orders
- Assists the Director of Finance with hiring, retaining, promoting, performance evaluations, training, disciplining, and terminating employees
- Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the MICS
- Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Running Creek Casino and of the Finance department
- May be required to perform other duties within the Finance Department as assigned by Director of Finance, provided they are within and allowable under regulatory constraints
Qualifications
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years’ experience in Finance Operations or Casino Accounting
- 2 years prior supervisory/management experience, unless waived by executive management
- Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations
Preferred:
- General accounting and auditing practices, procedures and terminology, including gaming system experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to communicate using written, oral and computer methods, must be able to operate computer equipment for extended periods. Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of 8 hours. Must be able to walk, sit, and stand for long periods. May be required to work extended hours and different shifts, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke, extensive computer use, must handle hazardous materials. Must be flexible with work schedules. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals, high volume direct public contact.
