Counselor Aid - CPSAI, Edison, Piscataway, Newark, and East Orange NJ (20700)

Description

• Number of Open Positions: 4 = 2 positions available in Essex and 2 in Middlesex County, 1 in Union County
• Counselor Aide is responsible for transportation, case management and motivational support on behalf of the client.
• The job includes transportation, urine drug screening, case management and various assistance, as determined or as needed to aid the Substance Abuse Counselor or Counselor in Training up to and including clerical assistance as needed.
• This job requires a high level of sensitivity and communication skills along with the ability to be flexible in tasks and instruction.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to be flexible, able to work independently, ability to multi-task, good organizational skills and have the ability to work in a diverse fast paced environment

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate basic computer skills and technology skills
• Have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history
• Bilingual preferred Spanish/English male
• The position is based in the DCPP office
