Promotes good will and fosters positive relationships with patients. Acts as a liaison between patients, patients’ family, and the organization; communicates organizational billing and collections practices and financial assistance application process; addresses patient’s questions, complaints, problems and concerns regarding billing and/or collections; serves as a resource for on-site Medicaid and family assistan
Education:
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Experience:
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures specific to healthcare billing, collections and medical assistance programs. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, targets, and objectives
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:
Certified Patient Accounts Manager (CPAM) or similar certification preferred
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal communication and customer service skills; ability to interpret procedural guidelines and governmental regulations; familiar with Florida Medicaid enrollment and Florida Statutes pertaining to Charity Care.
