  • The Financial Counselor evaluates the financial situations of Pershing General Hospital patients, arranging a method of payment for services rendered, and works within the financial limitations the patient may have.
    Some of What You’ll Do
    • Coordinate payment arrangements with private pay patients at or before time of service.
    • Creates payment plans tailored to the unique needs of patients.
    • Executes the collection process on current and past due accounts.
    • Identifies people in need of financial assistance and works with guarantors regarding financial assistance applications.
    • Documents phone conversations, payment arrangements, and collections on patient accounts.
    • Presents a professional image in dealing with the public, patients, family, and vendors.
    • Maintains confidentiality under HIPAA and other applicable privacy laws
    Who We’re Looking For
    • Strong and effective communicators, both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision
    • Proficient computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn PGH internal systems
    • Performing multiple tasks without sacrificing quality or accuracy
    • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
    Total Compensation
    Wages offered to the selected candidate will be determined using a scale based on relevant experience, but may expect to earn anywhere from $34,064 to $43,572, dependent on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
    In addition to the wages offered by Pershing General Hospital, the selected candidate will receive excellent additional benefits that include:

    The Total Value of Compensation for the position, including wages and benefits, is between $46,000 and $55,000.
