Job Summary
The Financial Aid Counselor is upbeat and positive as they serve as the face of our continually growing institution, and plays a critical role in delivering financial aid services to Sheridan College students. As a member of the Enrollment Services team this position is responsible for maintaining an effective scholarship application and awarding process, and the day-to-day management and administration for institutional and foundation scholarship allocations.

Director of Financial Aid Services
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Computer databases and records maintenance
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to receive directed work and meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
- Microsoft Word and Excel at advanced level
- Work independently and as an effective team member
- Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
- Federal and State financial aid rules and regulations
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Standard office environment
- Occasional evenings and weekends
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Some lifting may be required
