    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Financial Aid Manager will provide leadership to Main Campus financial aid staff and assist Main Campus leadership team in all areas related to student finances.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Essential Duties:

    • Approve staff timecards/PTO and manage the shared department calendar to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.
    • Monitor staff productivity and workload and move resources as needed to ensure departmental IEP goals are met for packaging and repackaging students timely.
    • Manage the Import Process/ISIR Process in Colleague daily.
    • Manage and distribute the New Start List daily.
    • Run repack reports for all active students and distribute to main campus staff.
    • Manage and resolve missing FA Disbursements through reports in Colleague.
    • Manage the disbursement of VA and State Grants in Colleague as well as the MyCAA and KY National Guard process.
    • Identify pending graduates for required exit counseling as well as students going below half-time for exit counseling.
    • Cancel aid for students no longer attending.
    • Perform Transfer Programs/Campus for students changing programs/campuses.
    • Provide resolution to packaging issues identified by Main Campus staff or local campus staff.
    • Train and develop new staff members as necessary.
    • Provide guidance, training, and assistance for both main and campus staff regarding Title IV programs or Colleague usage.
    • Assist with packaging, withdrawal calculations, verification and any other activities as needed.
    • Assist in other phases of financial aid as necessary.
    • Attend financial aid training, workshops and seminars as necessary.

    Position Requirements:

    • Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED, some college helpful.
    • Experience: Experience in using Microsoft systems such as Word, Excel, Internet Browsers, and Microsoft teams.
    • Special Qualifications: Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of people. Position requires great attention to detail, time management skills, and willingness to be a team player. Ability to document all communications with students in Ellucian Colleague. The candidate must have the ability to enroll in and be granted access to all Department of Education websites, including but not limited to NSLDS, COD, CPS, etc. Only candidates with no history of prior student loan default will be considered.
    • Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment: Must be able to sit at a computer desk for eight hours each day.
    • Degree of Supervision: Minimal
