      A Financial Aid Specialist typically:
      1. Ensures Financial Aid and the University adheres to federal, state and institutional rules,
      regulations and procedures.
      2. Assist in the development of policies and procedures for the department of Financial aid in
      coordination with administrators and University legal counsel.
      3. Ensures Financial Aid follows record retention policies and best practices.
      4. Serves as liaison with internal and external parties regarding Financial Aid operation.
      5. Solves complex issues that requires research and analysis.

    • Required Qualifications:

      CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER:
      1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or related degree.
      2. Five (5) years experience working in student services, financial aid/loans, accounting,
      business or finance in higher education or a related agency.
      **NOTE: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be
      substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.
