Oversees the critical flow of all grant, loan, and scholarship dollars to proper entities as required. Being a Financial Aid Director - Higher Ed. instructs students and parents on the application for loans or scholarships. Has knowledge of available private, state, and federal financial aid programs. Additionally, Financial Aid Director - Higher Ed. requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior institutional officer. The Financial Aid Director - Higher Ed. typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position that reports to the Dean of Students and is located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois. Position begins immediately.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Director of Financial Aid directs and coordinates financial aid programs and activities that promote financial literacy. This position ensures that student data and application documentation of eligibility requirements for financial aid awarding are met; oversees the development, implementation, monitoring and revision of policies and procedures relating to the financial aid office.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required. Preferences include a Master's Degree and 5 years related experience.
