Financial Aid Director - Higher Ed. manages and administers all aspects of student financial aid program. Oversees the critical flow of all grant, loan, and scholarship dollars to proper entities as required. Being a Financial Aid Director - Higher Ed. instructs students and parents on the application for loans or scholarships. Has knowledge of available private, state, and federal financial aid programs. Additionally, Financial Aid Director - Higher Ed. requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior institutional officer. The Financial Aid Director - Higher Ed. typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Financial Aid Counselor

  • Counsels students and parents in all aspects of student financial aid.  Provides timely responses and exceptional customer service to requests for information on service, providing complete and accurate information at all times. Develops and presents workshops as needed for informing and empowering internal and external customer base. Maintains exceptional knowledge of all student financial aid regulations, and suggests changes to Policies and Procedures Manual to ensure compliance. Manages regulatory compliance as it relates to the Federal College Work Study Program and Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant Programs. Establishes guidelines for students and employers, ensures student eligibility, completes personnel forms, and balances payroll records to student records in Banner information system. Serves as primary contact for Dual Enrollment including processing and awarding of Lottery and SC Wins. Manages the college's call campaigns and Call Center. Maintains and expands the FAQ book for the Center. Provides training for all call campaign and Call Center participants. Schedules coverage of the Center and call campaigns.   Evaluates the effectiveness of the Call Center and call campaigns and uses results for continuous improvement. Cooperates with Commission on Higher Education to present College Goal events annually. Trains relevant staff for events, and reports event details for potential improvements.Master's degree in a related field; or a Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of experience in student services programs.Central Carolina Technical College is sincerely committed to both effective managerial practice and equitable treatment of employees.
