The Financial Aid Processing Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Financial Aid Office specifically by specializing in assigned areas of compliance. Essential duties will include:

• Maintain highly specialized knowledge of assigned compliance areas, including the Federal Work Study Program.
• Process files with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain clear student account notes for university customer service teams to rely upon.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of office process documentation related to assigned specialty areas.
• Assist with the quality assurance efforts of the Student Financial Aid Office.
• Conduct initial file review, quality assurance reviews, and development of process documentation.
• Develop and deliver internal financial aid training material.
• Determine eligibility for student financial aid in accordance with federal, state, and university laws, regulations, and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Financial Aid and/or Regent University experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate compliance rules and complex business processes clearly
