Primary Responsibilities:
Successful candidate will be responsible for leading and serving the organizational needs of 3-8 employees. The Section Manager will report personnel coverage and administrative issues to the Branch Manager weekly or as required. The Section Manager will be responsible for interfacing with organizations across the enterprise to coordinate work for branch employees and supervise their performance. The Section Manager will write and conduct annual performance reviews of their employees as well as deliver guidance and feedback to their direct reports throughout the year. The Section Manager will conduct other leadership functions as directed by their branch manager and other division leaders.
This position is primarily a technical engineering function (approximately 80 percent) along with a direct line management responsibility (approximately 20 percent), but direct line management capability is the primary criterion for selection to this position. Candidate is expected to demonstrate servant leadership and must make the needs of their employees their top concern.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university
4 years of applicable experience in design and/or analysis of mechanical systems
Proficient with structural design via CAD, drawing generation in accordance with ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5, and producing technical data packages in accordance with MIL-STD-31000
Sets the example through punctuality, integrity, and accountability in their work
Preferred Qualifications

Strong planning skills with clear communication to subordinates and division leaders
