    Salary

    Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

    Hours per Week

    Exempt Position: 40 hours per week.

    Essential Functions

    Job Summary

    Provide professional level budget forecasting, reporting, and analyses associated with the planning, development and maintenance of operating budgets for departments and divisions supported by the Business Affairs Service Center. Integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality are essential when dealing with financial and human resource information. Perform internal financial management reporting and analyses to assist in monitoring budget performance and establishing data collection models in support of resource management and financial performance tracking and reporting.

    Core Responsibilities
    • Supervise the Business Service Center Budget Analysts and report and data team student assistants. Provide training regarding various data collection, report development, maintenance and analysis related tasks and responsibilities. Establish clear expectations for Business Center Data and Report staff and prepares annual staff performance evaluations to identify strengths and improvement opportunities.
    • Supports BSC supported departments with fiscal management responsibilities, including verifying accuracy of cost centers, budgetary accounts, funding availability and capital project management functions.
    • Support the annual budget development process for all departments supported by the BSC.
    • Develop and maintain a database for tracking and monitoring positions changes.
    • Collect, process, and analyze data for use by decision makers in Business Affairs, the President's Office, University Relations, Inclusive Excellence and all departments supported by the Business Affairs BSC Office.
    • Provide and coordinate collection and processing of data for various types of ad-hoc reports and dashboard development.
    • Develop and maintain tracking worksheets for capital and institutional construction projects.
    • Manage and track Project Management Fee billings for capital and construction projects.
    • Manage reconciliation process for Recharge Centers and Capital and Institutional Construction Project IDs.
    • Collect, process, analyze, and verifies data and data sources in support of key internal and external reporting requirements.
    • Perform special studies, research, and analysis of financial issues providing recommendations for course of action as requested.
    • Produces special and periodic reports.

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
    • Two years of experience in budget analysis, financial reporting and data analysis OR 2 years of experience working with financial systems, data reporting, retrieval and analyses tools.
    • Two years of experience supervising full time staff.
    • Knowledge of or ability to learn how to effectively use Business Intelligence reporting tools and forecast modeling tools to support budget, planning, and forecast activities (Prefer: Experience with dashboard development and working with Power BI).
    • Experience preparing complex financial reports, managing financial operations and processes, and budget development and monitoring.
    • Advanced knowledge of financial data analysis.
    • Skilled communicator with the ability to translate complex financial data to non-financial users.
    • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Proven ability to work well in a team setting.
    • Proven ability to be a self-starter/independent worker.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel Attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality work.



    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited institution.
    • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Excel experience.

    • Occasional after hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.

    This position will be primarily located:

    Hybrid-Regularly: This position will require working both remotely and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
