Position Purpose:

Analyze the past and present financial data of the clinic and estimate future revenue and expenditures. Responsible for developing complex financial reporting, ad-hoc statistics, and budget analysis. Also responsible for collecting industry research to support decision-making and developing financial models, preparing projections, and conducting research and analysis.

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas.
• Solid understanding of non-profit accounting principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to present publicly.

Experience:

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as a high-level user of data from various systems including ERP (Sage), Athena, Dax and Coronis.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to improve operational productivity and financial health to the Director of Finance, particularly in datasets related to finance and administrative services.
• Organize data into accessible reports and perform various types of analysis using key metrics such as yearly growth, return on assets, return on equity, and provider productivity.
• Evaluate and analyze capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
• Analyze current and past financial data and performance.
• Provide financial models and forecasting.

• Perform requested ad hoc analysis using the Sage system and clinic EHR to enhance business productivity, efficiency, and financial health, and establish key performance indicators.
• Recognize the need for and create new reports or delve deeper into current reports to extract greater details.
• Determine appropriate data sources and presentation methods, thereby providing customized analytics.

• Assume daily responsibility for performing assigned accounting and related support functions such as maintaining accounts payable invoices and payments.
• Maintain integrity of the Sage database by regularly updating files, reports, and spreadsheets to include expenses, revenues, employee updates, etc.
• Perform other non-profit accounting functions including general ledger (GL) reconciliations, check register/reconciliation, and updating month-end close reports as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position is eligible for a telework agreement (hybrid).
