Description

NRG Media, LLC, a multi-media company based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with locations throughout the Midwest, seeks a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support the corporate accounting team, and provide support for other corporate procedures occasionally.   

Responsibilities include:

• Calculating compensation for commissions, overrides and bonuses;
• Assisting with user maintenance in accounting and sales software; 
• Tracking Revenue;
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures;
• Basic support in data entry, account reconciliation, and invoicing;
• Filing and tracking insurance claims;
• Updating content on corporate website as needed.

Requirements

Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products, Great Plains experience helpful.   

You should have outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; a demonstrated knowledge of revenue management principle and practices, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. 

An associates degree in accounting or business and 2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education are desirable.
