Financial Assistant (Public) provides assistance to the Public Financial Associates. Assists in the financing of taxable and tax-exempt bonds. Being a Financial Assistant (Public) prepares business reports, proposals, and presentations. Coordinates meetings and communications between all parties involved with transactions. Additionally, Financial Assistant (Public) verifies compliance with NASD and other regulations and completes all required filings for a deal. Familiar with underwriting policies, practices, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Financial Assistant (Public) works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. We are hiring a FULL-TIME(40 hours a week) EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANT for our Stability and Connectedness Department with Catholic Charities in the city of Buffalo.

JOB SUMMARY: The Emergency Financial Assistant has a primary duty of responding to the emergency needs of individuals or families who seek various types of assistance, including rental, utility assistance, access to food, clothing, healthcare and additional barriers. The EFA will conduct assessments for clients who contact emergency assistance in-person, by phone or through email. The EFA will work with all Catholic Charities programs and community partners to ensure that our clients have access to services that remove barriers and fulfills their basic needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION: Associates degree in social work, mental health counseling, gerontology or other approved related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
