Financial Assistant (Public) provides assistance to the Public Financial Associates. Assists in the financing of taxable and tax-exempt bonds. Being a Financial Assistant (Public) prepares business reports, proposals, and presentations. Coordinates meetings and communications between all parties involved with transactions. Additionally, Financial Assistant (Public) verifies compliance with NASD and other regulations and completes all required filings for a deal. Familiar with underwriting policies, practices, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Financial Assistant (Public) works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Be able to communicate professionally with attorneys, etc. on a small scale.
Backup Bankruptcy Officer on all jobs including all reports, spreadsheets, calendars, ten-day letters, etc.
Be able to pay all bills from attorneys, appraisers, etc. for the Bankruptcy & Collection Dept.
Be able to call on past due customers and be able to request payments, and then follow up with a set date to make the payments.
Complete CIF 20/20 sheets and maintenance forms to update messages on bankruptcies and collection loans.
Must be able to image all documents to the loan or CIF file as needed.
Must be able to complete attorney referral sheets, print and organize packages that are being sent to the attorney for action.
Must be able to update spreadsheets of what was sent to each attorney and when it was sent to that attorney.
Must be able to add and maintain all collection action dates, court dates, and appointments for the collection department and bankruptcy department.
Typing any maintenance forms that need to be prepared and scanning them into Loan Ops and Document Imaging.
Must be able to make the entries to process the bankruptcy checks that come in and get them processed as required by the courts.
Must be able to perform other various duties as needed in the Collection /Bankruptcy Department.
This person will be the primary backup for the Bankruptcy Officer.
Must be self-motivated.
