Position Description

The Corporate Financial Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing financial processes within a corporation.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 based upon factors including but not limited to related experience and time in the industry.

Responsibilities:

FINANCIAL REPORTING

• Prepares and analyzes financial statements in accordance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
• Generates and reports summarizing financial data for internal and external stakeholders.

BUDGETING & FORECASTING

• Assists in the development of the annual budget.
• Works on financial forecasts and projections to support strategic decision-making.

GENERAL LEDGER MANAGEMENT

• Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts.
• Ensures accurate recording of financial transactions.

AUDIT SUPPORT

• Collaborates with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
• Prepares necessary documentation and respond to audit inquiries.

COMPLIANCE

• Stays updated on accounting regulations and ensure compliance.
• Implements and monitors internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

TAXATION

• Assists in the preparation of tax returns and ensures compliance with tax regulations.
• Works with tax professionals to address any tax-related issues.

FINANCIAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT

• Utilizes and maintains financial software and systems.
• Implements improvements in financial processes and systems.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

• Collaborates with other departments to gather financial information and support decision-making.
• Communicates financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.

MONTH-END & YEAR-END CLOSE

• Participates in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensures timely and accurate financial reporting.

RISK MANAGEMENT

• Identifies and assesses financial risks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• Proven experience as a financial accountant, preferably in a corporate setting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Travel is not required.
