Financial Office Summary
VGM HOMELINK team members work every day to ensure patients across the country receive the highest standard of care. We do this by performing high quality customer service in an office environment utilizing various forms of technology. A key component of this process is what we consider the financial or business office: billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
The first few months in HOMELINK will be spent in training, learning business objectives, software systems, and job specific goals. The HOMELINK training team will provide in-depth training on insurance carrier contracts, medical coding, and job specific responsibilities in the financial office. During training, you will be assigned one of the various positions that are crucial to the success of the financial office.
Commitment to in-depth knowledge of our insurance carrier contracts and expectations, as well as high-quality standards and timeliness are crucial to success in this role. This VGM job is fast-paced and ever changing; individuals with high energy and passion for exceeding expectations are encouraged to apply. This VGM job functions in a call-center environment and at minimum 75% of this role will include communication via phone with in-coming and out-going calls.
Working Location: On-site in Waterloo, Iowa or remote/hybrid
Hours: Monday-Friday; Full-time (40 hours/week) 1st shift, 8am-5pm CST
Compensation: $16 - $18 / hour
Financial Office Responsibilities
Our financial business office is comprised of billing analysts, accounts receivable and accounts payable associates. Each of these roles completes new hire training before being assigned to a designated area within the business office.
Billing Analysts evaluate orders for accuracy before submitting claims to insurance payers for reimbursement.
Accounts Receivable Associates reviews aspects of a claim to decide the reason for outstanding balance and then take corrective action to collect outstanding balances.
Call Center Representatives responds to provider inquiries via phone calls, emails, and aging spreadsheets
Accounts Payable Associates prepare and monitor the financial system, as well as processing and monitoring payments and expenditures.
