Financial Associate (Public) gathers and interprets financial data and coordinates the process for the origination of debt securities used to finance public projects for housing, utilities or other municipal initiatives. Develops estimates of services and completes a comprehensive analysis of project, including bond ratings and insurance. Being a Financial Associate (Public) collaborates with public officials in analyzing the necessary bond and cash flow reports that are associated with the projects. Starts the offering process and may make recommendations to interested investors. Additionally, Financial Associate (Public) coordinates preparation of all offering documents. Manages the bond issuance process and assists with the offering. Depending on the size and level of project, responsibility may vary. May manage the entire project or only a portion of the deal. Requires a bachelor's degree of Finance. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Financial Associate (Public) works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.     Wilkinson Financial is seeking an Associate Financial Representative to join our team. The selected candidate will join a high producing investment and insurance team that has been in business with Northwestern Mutual for 32 years. This will be a full time position, with benefits, located at our office in Ponte Vedra, Florida. An Associate Financial Representative (AFR) specializes in client service and processing of insurance applications and ensuring the maintenance of an efficient and compliant office, allowing the financial advisor to focus on building client relationships. The associate representative is a liaison between the home office, financial advisor and clients.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    Support

    • Maintaining financial representative’s calendar, including scheduling reviews and follow up appointments
    • Responding to home office inquiries, client phone calls and emails
    • Working with team to prepare files for client meetings
    • Generating proposals and presentations for Group Disability business
    • Handle case notes, processing correspondence, maintaining client case files, account forms and other insurance and investment related materials


    Processing

    • Preparing and processing paperwork needed for insurance accounts
    • Submitting individual insurance for underwriting and tracking throughout process to ensure timely and efficient issuing of policy
    • Submitting Group Disability insurance for underwriting and tracking throughout process to ensure timely and efficient issuing of policy


    Client Service
    • Corresponding with clients to handle insurance related service issues
    • Maintaining daily system for insurance follow-ups and service requirements
    • Servicing existing book of Group Disability business
    • Tracking Group Disability claims


    Qualifications
    • Florida Life and Health Insurance Licensed (2-15) required
    • Financial Service or Insurance industry experience required
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Able to practice active listening and communicate in a direct manner
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
    • Ability to manage multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely and quality manner
    • Willingness to learn
    • Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Able to work both independently and on a team
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Has a sense of gratitude, enjoys having fun, and has a happy disposition
