Financial Associate (Public) gathers and interprets financial data and coordinates the process for the origination of debt securities used to finance public projects for housing, utilities or other municipal initiatives. Develops estimates of services and completes a comprehensive analysis of project, including bond ratings and insurance. Being a Financial Associate (Public) collaborates with public officials in analyzing the necessary bond and cash flow reports that are associated with the projects. Starts the offering process and may make recommendations to interested investors. Additionally, Financial Associate (Public) coordinates preparation of all offering documents. Manages the bond issuance process and assists with the offering. Depending on the size and level of project, responsibility may vary. May manage the entire project or only a portion of the deal. Requires a bachelor's degree of Finance. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Financial Associate (Public) works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.     Job Description

    The Assistant Financial Representative will play a crucial role in supporting the financial advising team in various aspects of client management including client onboarding, task management, underwriting processes, and ongoing client relations. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Client Onboarding

    • Facilitate the client onboarding process, including gathering necessary documentation, completing compliance requirements, and setting up client accounts.
    • Ensure a smooth transition for new clients by effectively communicating the onboarding process and addressing any inquiries or concerns.

    Task Management:

    • Assist in managing and prioritizing tasks for the financial advising team, including scheduling appointments, preparing client meeting materials, and following up on action items.
    • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and ensure timely completion of tasks to meet client expectations and deadlines.

    Underwriting Process:

    • Collaborate with the financial advising team to gather and analyze financial information from clients for underwriting purposes.
    • Assist in preparing underwriting submissions and supporting documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Client Relations:

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing updates on account status, and offering assistance as needed.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with clients by demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness, and a commitment to meeting their financial needs.

    Administrative Support:

    • Provide administrative support to the financial advising team, including maintaining client files, updating databases, and generating reports as needed.
    • Assist in coordinating marketing initiatives and client events to promote the firm's services and enhance client engagement.

    Qualifications:

    • Licenses Required: Life & Health License (secured within 60 days of employment), SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 (secured within 1 year of employment)
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
    • Previous experience in a financial services or advisory role preferred.
    • Strong understanding of financial products, services, and industry regulations.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
    • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
    • Proactive attitude and a willingness to take initiative in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $45,000.00 per year
