ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
ï‚· Present and discuss with patients all financial aspects available.
ï‚· Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of patient billing and collection policies and
procedures, explaining account payment and settlement processes.
ï‚· Prepare estimates for services covered in part by insurance plans, collect amounts not covered by
insurance prior to services being rendered.
ï‚· Prepare cost estimates and payment options for patients based on provider outlined treatment plan(s).
ï‚· Assist patients with the application process to secure finances from available programs for
credit/payment options.
ï‚· Verify and review insurance benefits, acquiring prior authorization for any necessary services for patients
prior to services being rendered and correctly documenting that authorization in the Practice
Management System.
ï‚· Collect co-pays, deductibles, and procedure and treatment service costs.
ï‚· Complete insurance benefit verifications for new patients or those whose insurance plans have changed.
ï‚· Monitor all accounts for all patients undergoing IVF procedures.
ï‚· Conduct daily activities within the appropriate ethical and legal guidelines as defined by company policy.
ï‚· Complete appropriate paperwork for patient/insurance billing.
ï‚· Respond to requests for information and assistance in a cooperative manner within the appropriate time
frame.
ï‚· Demonstrates encourage and develop collaborative working relationships with all customers.
ï‚· Other duties as assigned
