    Specific Responsibilities: Accountable to Program Manager. Provide guidance and planning support relating to financial literacy. Manage participant motivation, removal of barriers, assessments, pre and post testing and relational competency building. Facilitate linkage to needed financial resources and supports.

    Duties:

    • Provide assessment, guidance, and financial education support to participants during weekly/daily communication. Co-facilitate groups and activities.
    • Provide individual financial counseling and guidance to youth, including budgeting, debt management, saving, and credit building.
    • Empower homeless youth to establish and maintain positive credit standing by guiding them through the process of obtaining a secure checking account, securing a student credit card, and managing their credit responsibly.
    • Assist youth in accessing government benefits and other financial resources.
    • Support participants’ adjustment and motivation and provide crisis intervention when necessary. Assist in youth development of self-regulation skills and impulse control.
    • Monitor participant progress and maintain accurate records including data entry into approved database Prepare and submit required reports. Transport participants when necessary.
    • Participate in and attend all staff meetings, staff development events and appropriate agency-wide committees. Uphold the rigorous standards of RYSE as mandated by its mission, purpose, guiding principles and standards of quality.
    • Maintain confidentiality and privacy standards of service partner protected health information and other applicable information and material in accordance to agency and center policies, and applicable regulations and laws including HIPAA.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, social work or related field with two years equivalent experience is preferred. Two years of experience working with at-risk youth preferred. Must be willing to develop or possess working knowledge of trauma-informed care. Able to work in a very diverse setting with people of all backgrounds, cultures, and orientations. Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities, training skills, creativity, and public speaking. Ability to provide quality trauma-informed services in a fast-paced environment, specializing in crisis intervention and de-escalation, motivational interviewing, and Seeking Safety. Ability to (re) prioritize and multi-task is a must. Able to be cleared to drive and have valid driver’s license with own reliable form of transportation.

    Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
