Financial Counselor - Healthcare develops and facilitates payment plans for patients to finance medical expenses by coordinating between insurer, third party payer and patient. Being a Financial Counselor - Healthcare advises patients of any alternative sources of funding or assistance available from social service agencies. Prepares and files any documentation needed to complete payment arrangements. Additionally, Financial Counselor - Healthcare may arrange for referrals or second opinions. Has general knowledge of insurance terms and practices. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Financial Counselor - Healthcare works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job Description
As a home health nurse (RN HH), you will deliver healthcare in patients' residences, helping them maintain their independence. You will provide one-on-one care for patients in their homes. These patients can be elderly, critically ill, or disabled or they may be recovering from a surgery, injury, or accident. A hospice nurse cares for terminally ill patients. Whether home health or hospice, you will assess patients' conditions and determine an individualized care plan. This will also include charting observations, administering medication and dressing wounds, educating patients and their families about care, and coordinating with other medical professionals involved in patients' care plans.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent acute care experience in specialty
- Active RN license
