DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with a strong accounting background, the ideal candidate will be responsible for leading our financial forecasting, budgeting processes, and providing insightful financial reporting to aid in strategic decision-making. This role is critical in supporting the company's financial health and growth strategy.
- Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and provide actionable insights based on financial data.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with different departments to gather financial information and forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
- Support the executive team in decision-making processes by providing relevant financial insights and projections.
- Manage and ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Continuously improve financial reporting processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Performs a variety of cost and revenue reports and analyses.
- Maintain confidentiality with a variety of sensitive, electronic information and physical files.
- Assists in cost accounting analysis.
- Other tasks and responsibilities based on business needs.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA is a plus.
- 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on FP&A.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial modeling.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications including PowerBI or similar reporting and visual decision support tools.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 or other cloud-based ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex financial information in an easily understandable format.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience gaining buy-in from peers and superiors to keep budgets, projects, and deadlines on track.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Work location: This position is based out of our Mason, Ohio headquarters. We work together in the office Tuesday through Thursday and enjoy flexibility to work remotely Monday and Friday as schedules permit. #LI-HYBRID
