    This is a highly visible role in a dynamic and complex group that will offer the ideal candidate exposure to many areas throughout the Company and its senior leadership. In addition to leading the annual budgeting process and monthly reforecasting, this role will also be responsible for assisting with key presentations (for example to rating agencies), and corporate development assignments related to the financial assessment of strategic initiatives.



    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Lead and prepare the annual budgeting process by coordinating with key departments and the leadership team.
    • Staying up to date with business performance and key changes to reforecast results.
    • Leverage the Company's budgeting and forecasting tool, Workday (Adaptive) Planning.
    • Prepare variance analysis of the forecast and compare actual results vs. forecast and budget.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to FP&A team members and regularly conduct effective performance feedback sessions.
    • Assist with the preparation of Rating Agency, Board of Directors' and other presentations for senior leadership.
    • Assist in the financial assessment of strategic initiatives including new ventures or possible changes in business structure and strategy within the group of Companies.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Assist in the execution of special projects and initiatives.

    Position Qualifications

    • Relevant experience in the P&C Insurance Industry is required (audit or other consulting experience in the industry will be considered)
    • 8 years of progressive financial management experience in similar roles
    • Ability to lead and influence others
    • Expert level user of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Enthusiastic self-starter
    • Quick learner
    • Strong problem-solving skills

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, or Accounting required.
    • MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus
    • Eight to ten years of prior work experience in the P&C insurance industry.
