We are seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant I who works collaboratively to provide support to the finance and accounting department by administering regular and reoccurring accounting tasks. Perform reconciliation of daily cash accounts and general ledger journal entries. Manage monthly accruals and prepare GL journal for monthly close. Manage the credit card accounts and post costing entries for purchases. Prepare and analyze financial reports. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports for all lines of business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs all general accounting functions to include, accounts payable, accounts receivable and patient refunds, and general journal entries
- Maintaining accounts payables, ensure timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of the debt
- Update financial records via accounting software, Intacct
- Prepare and distribute employee credit card statements for reconciling each month
- Post daily cash receipts and transfers
- Provide daily cash management of 10 major cash accounts and documenting all transactions
- Post daily payments of receivables and manage all deposits to the company’s financial institution
- Prepares and files annual Unclaimed Funds report
- Reconciles daily bank transactions
- Maintain accounts receivable, document bills and supporting documentation
- Prepares monthly invoices for Skilled Nursing Facilities
- Assist Vice President of Skilled Nursing Facilities department in collecting AR aging receivables
- Prepare and generate allocations report for monthly outsourced billing company to ensure patient collections
- Works closely with the Finance & Accounting team to ensure all financial policies are adequately followed
- Performs other duties as assigned
