- Maintains the general ledger.
- Reconciles bank accounts monthly.
- RMA processing – Audit entries from various systems, make corrections as needed, posts credits and communicates with customers. Work closely with RMA department.
- Depreciation – SAGE Software – enter new assets, dispose of assets, calculate depreciation and post in ERP System. Work with auditors at year end.
- Process and pay Use Tax, CAT Tax, and various other state taxes on-line or by check
- Calculate various month end journal entries and maintain account reconciliations
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
- Prepares and submits financial reports to government regulatory agencies (census reports).
- As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
- Supports and assists Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Maintains insurance certificates.
- Performs general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
- Acts as a back-up for monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
