Overview of the Accountant role:

• Record cash payments daily and track in spreadsheet
• Review and confirm balance, freight, and sales tax on invoices; post Accounts Payable batches to general ledger
• Review final checks weekly for AP/AR
• Prepare journal entries for cash transactions
• Monthly closings - prepare sales tax returns for two regions; prepare balance sheet reconciliations for all US locations; communicate with plant managers regarding expenses
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for international locations quarterly

Preferred Qualifications for the Accountant Role:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Comfortable working in a major ERP
• Demonstrated ability to work in a leadership role
