Job Summary: As a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant, the ideal candidate would be a strong self-starter and team player that is willing to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment. We are a growing company, and while this role will be responsible for several recurring tasks, this role will also regularly take on ad hoc tasks needed by upper management and/or other team members to advance the company’s interests. The flexibility, time management, and maturity to handle the ebb and flow of assignments is as important as the technical and analytical skills required to be successful in this position. Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities: Assist in the coordination, preparation and distribution of the Company’s quarterly and Annual financial statements and other related deliverables within required filing deadlines Perform technical accounting research and analysis, including the implementation of new accounting standards Prepare technical accounting memoranda and analyses for complex accounting matters and transactions, including annual goodwill impairment analysis Coordinating with acquisition integration team on purchase accounting and other acquisition related matters Review bank reporting related to debt compliance Serve as key liaison with external auditors Essential Knowledge and Skills: Strong technical accounting skills Experience preparing and/or reviewing GAAP financial statements Experience with purchase price accounting is preferred Strong analytical and accounting skills Thorough understanding of GAAP Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills Must be flexible and adaptable to change Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro Experienced working with/manipulating large amounts in Excel Must be able to effectively prepare multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment Job Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience/Training: 5-7 experience in accounting Big 4 public company experience is preferred CPA license is preferred Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting or Finance Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills required. Must demonstrate ability to successfully interact effectively with all levels in the organization Excellent analytical skills Time management and ability to complete work under tight deadlines Personal Qualities: Possess intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn and be challenged Maintain a positive attitude and be able to adapt to changes Strong work ethic and detail oriented Physical Requirements & Work Environment: This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
