Financial Reporting Director directs and oversees the preparation and distribution of all periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Director confirms that entries, transactions, and accounts are accurately and properly consolidated and are included in internal and external financial statements. Advises management of trends and changes in reporting requirements and recommends best approach for any changes in reporting. Additionally, Financial Reporting Director may serve as a liaison with or oversee the work of external auditors. May direct the preparation of materials for board or shareholders. Requires a bachelor's degree of Accounting or Finance. Typically reports to top management. The Financial Reporting Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Financial Reporting Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Director, Business Development - Midwest Asset Based Lending

  • Summary: The Director of Business Development will be responsible for the Midwest Region within our Asset Based Lending Group. This role is responsible for increasing company revenue by identifying profitable business opportunities, developing long term business growth strategies, and expanding brand presence. This role is required to manage existing partnerships, assess business risks by analyzing financial statistical and economic data.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Cover a geographical marketplace whereby the team member has identified and develops opportunities from referral sources and industry partners.
    • Lead new transaction opportunities and present to the leadership team within the platform, demonstrating competence and alignment with Accord Financial’s overall company strategy.
    • Lead and work closely with underwriting/credit team on transaction analysis for primary overview and detailed summary presentation that lead to binding proposals.
    • Represent and participate to the extent necessary in negotiation of transaction terms and conditions whereby the company is competently represented.
    • Research emerging trends and recommend new company offerings that support Accord Financial’s strategic growth plan.
    • Build solid relationships with customers both internally and externally.
    • Maintain a deep knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.
    • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow the business.
    • Actively participate with broader portfolio, underwriting and credit team on business due diligence including prospect site visit, documentation collection, participate in legal documentation process and assist with closing the transaction.

    Education / Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum 5 years of business development experience, relationship manager or credit underwriting experience in similar field is required
    • Undergraduate degree required in relevant concentration of study.
    • MBA or post undergraduate degree attractive but not required.
