Financial Reporting Director directs and oversees the preparation and distribution of all periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Director confirms that entries, transactions, and accounts are accurately and properly consolidated and are included in internal and external financial statements. Advises management of trends and changes in reporting requirements and recommends best approach for any changes in reporting. Additionally, Financial Reporting Director may serve as a liaison with or oversee the work of external auditors. May direct the preparation of materials for board or shareholders. Requires a bachelor's degree of Accounting or Finance. Typically reports to top management. The Financial Reporting Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Financial Reporting Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     How You’ll Make an Impact

    The Financial Reporting Process Lead is the primary project lead for working with the business teams and the SAP project team in designing and deploying the most effective SAP solution for requirements set forth by the business user community as identified in global workshops and working sessions.  The Process Lead will focus on the financial reporting needs from both an external and internal management view and expands and optimizes the current SAP application configuration/design to serve the finance areas. This role is critical to the implementation of the IT Strategy to minimize custom software applications and maximize the enterprise approach of SAP. In the role, you would be responsible for:

    • Lead and coordinate overall support to the area of SAP S/4 Finance Financial and Group Reporting and relevant financial applications; contribute to the SAP S/4 upgrade projects and continuous improvement initiatives as the SAP Finance SME.
    • Collaborate on the design, build, testing, data migration, and training activities during the project.
    • Engage with Finance users to understand functional requirements to identify and develop solutions.
    • Lead the area of financial reporting.
    • Validate and document configurations, enhancements, development, and underlying processes.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on the implemented reporting and finance processes to design future finance solutions, enhancements, and continuous improvements for SAP based business priorities and initiatives.
    • Liaise with user, business units, and other project teams to deliver SAP best practices to Valvoline.
    • Provide oversight of internal processes with respect to SAP master data, hierarchies, and reporting.
    • Manage and satisfy SAP audit controls and pertinent Aramco program requirements as needed.

     

     

    What You’ll Need

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting, finance or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of SAP Financial and Controlling experience in one or several of below domains: Finance (FI): GL, New GL, AP, AR, AA; Controlling (CO): Cost & Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Project Systems (PS): Financial Project Management; Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC): Planning, budgeting and forecasting.
    • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA required. 
    • Advance understanding and experience with Financial and Management Accounting processes.
    • Excellent communication skills to establish credibility at client level and to build problem-solving partnerships with internal customers.
    • Ability to work independently, as well as in project teams and take ownership and responsibility.
    • Ability to influence and/or coach others that do not directly report to the role
    • Ability to manage stress; be flexible, internal customer focused.
    • Ability to travel abroad when needed.
    • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills are required; ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues is critical.
    • Project management experience; experience with documentation, participation in unit testing, integration testing, and cutover activities related to SAP Finance.
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
