Financial Controller

• Serve as a trusted expert in Accounting and Finance
• Oversee all aspects of financial management while helping with day-to-day operations, including data entry, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and general accounting administrative tasks.
• Monitor & balance incoming and outgoing cash flows for optimal investment
• Serve as liaison for tax auditing and other financial institutions
• Create & monitor company policies to safeguard our assets and reduce fraud
• Help create a budget with collaboration & historical research
• Administer loan agreements and collect money owed
• Ensure compliance with local law, tax provisions, and relevant industry & financial regulations
• Research & onboard new software

Universal Concrete Products, a family-owned architectural & structural precast construction company, seeks a qualified individual to join us as our Financial Controller. We want someone with previous financial management or accounting experience who will confidently lead our finance teams and drive financial performance.

If you have a background in Accounting or Business or have worked as a Controller or Senior Accountant in a manufacturing or construction setting, please consider joining our team.

Our Ideal Financial Controller:

• Experienced: 8 years of accounting experience in financial management roles and 5 years of proven success in leading finance teams. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; a CPA or MBA is preferred.
• Knowledgeable: A thorough knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, and financial analysis techniques. Must be familiar with supply chain purchasing and have experience working with contract administration.
• Computer Savvy: Experience with accounting software is required; previous use of SAGE accounting software is a plus.
• Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insight.
• Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Detailed: A commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting & compliance.
• Team Player: Able to work in a team setting. Always considerate & respectful.Not afraid to lead or speak up and ask a question.
