Financial Reporting Director directs and oversees the preparation and distribution of all periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Director confirms that entries, transactions, and accounts are accurately and properly consolidated and are included in internal and external financial statements. Advises management of trends and changes in reporting requirements and recommends best approach for any changes in reporting. Additionally, Financial Reporting Director may serve as a liaison with or oversee the work of external auditors. May direct the preparation of materials for board or shareholders. Requires a bachelor's degree of Accounting or Finance. Typically reports to top management. The Financial Reporting Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Financial Reporting Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Financial Reporting Expert

    This Financial Reporting Expert will assist EODGRU TWO and Expeditionary Support Unit TWO (ESU TWO) in the following specific areas of interest:


    • Assist with processing administrative reports to recoup unobligated/excess funds and update tracking of outstanding commitments as required for reporting.
    • Assist with processing administrative reports to recoup unobligated/excess funds, track and update funding requirements monthly, and submit a summary of all outstanding funding documents to the ESU TWO Supply Officer.
    • Assists in preparing financial allocations, tracking obligations and expenditures, and analyzing data for subordinate units daily to ensure authorized funds are not exceeded.
    • Consolidate input by subordinate units for future fiscal year required procurements and provide within the Annual Financial Management Plan (AFMP) document format to Commander, EODGRU TWO, by 01 August each calendar year. Update the existing AFMP document throughout the current fiscal year.
    • Processing Negative Unliquidated Obligations (NULOs), Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs), Bulk Fuels statements and fuel logs, Dormant Account Review-Quarterly (DAR-Q), and General Services Administration (GSA) vehicle rental charges.
    • Assist in preparing a minimum of four (4) Transmittal Letters (TL) each month. Additional TLs may be required during periods of high batch obligations that were processed and required to be reported.
    • Assist in the preparation of the trial and live Budget Operating Target Report (BOR) on the last working day of each month and during the end of fiscal year closeout.
    • Download and assist in processing external Material Obligation Validation (MOV) records quarterly, reviewing them with follow-up actions for appropriate supply sources to obtain their current validity status.
    • Consolidate inputs from EODESU TWO departments and subordinate units under EODGRU TWO and provide MOV report to EODESU TWO Supply Officer quarterly.
    • Download and assist in processing Internal MOV records monthly, reviewing with follow-up actions for appropriate supply sources to obtain current validity status.
    • Consolidate inputs from EODESU TWO departments and subordinate units under EODGRU TWO and provide MOV reports to EODESU TWO Supply Officer no later than the first working day of the following month.
    • Assist in tracking purchase requests by maintaining and updating status as information or status changes. This may be accomplished via a spreadsheet or web-based tool. Government will provide formal or hands-on training as required when utilizing the electronic Purchase Request Form (ePRF).
    • Assist in the inventory and validation of fuel card program cards and E-Zpass transponders.


    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Must have at least five (5) years of financial management experience and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the United States Navy and the utilization of the RSUPPLY system.
    • A minimum of Secret Security Clearance is required.
    • Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written
    • Possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Be skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
