Financial Reporting Director directs and oversees the preparation and distribution of all periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Director confirms that entries, transactions, and accounts are accurately and properly consolidated and are included in internal and external financial statements. Advises management of trends and changes in reporting requirements and recommends best approach for any changes in reporting. Additionally, Financial Reporting Director may serve as a liaison with or oversee the work of external auditors. May direct the preparation of materials for board or shareholders. Requires a bachelor's degree of Accounting or Finance. Typically reports to top management. The Financial Reporting Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Financial Reporting Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     The team investigates how water “quality” and “quantity” and habitat and anthropogenic factors are impacting on ecological communities and communicate this information to a range of audiences.
    You will be an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with a passion for the environment and an interest in freshwater ecology.
    In this role you will:
    • Produce high quality ecological, fisheries and water quality data, essential to fulfil our national and European legislative commitments and helping to drive environmental improvements.
    • Undertake seasonal field based ecological, water quality and/or fisheries survey work across the whole area
    • Carry out laboratory analysis of biological samples including aquatic invertebrates to species level
    • Interpret the field and laboratory data we gather and report our findings to our internal and external customers using both standard and bespoke computer applications.
    • Assist with investigations into impacts of environmental pollution incidents.

    Our friendly and dedicated Analysis and Reporting team collect, analyse and interpret freshwater environmental data to inform a range of legislative, national and local requirements.

    We are skilled in monitoring fieldwork and lab work and use our expertise to assess wide variety of ecology, water quality and fisheries data from a range of sources.

    Our customers rely on the evidence we provide to support the delivery of local and national environmental improvements.
    Experience/skills required
    You will have some freshwater ecological field and office-based experience along with an ecology/fisheries/environmental sciences background with related qualifications, experience or knowledge of some of the following activities:

    • Field survey work for freshwater aquatic macro-invertebrates, plants, and habitats
    • Identification and analysis of aquatic macro-invertebrate specimens preferably to species level
    • Fisheries monitoring techniques including electricfishing
    • Data analysis and interpretation of biological and chemical datasets for use in investigations and reports
    • Communication of scientific information to a wide range of audiences using a variety of techniques
    • Survey planning, design and problem solving
    • Understanding of the Health & Safety issues associated with this work

    You must possess a full driving licence and be able to swim confidently
