Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Manager manages the financial reporting staff May work with external auditors to provide requested information. May assist with the preparation of materials for board or shareholders. Additionally, Financial Reporting Manager requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Typically reports to a director. The Financial Reporting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Financial Reporting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary and Qualifications

    Provides System consolidated financial information and support to all affiliates regarding general ledger transactions, processes and financial reporting.

    Essential Accountabilities:

    • Accurate, timely preparation and coordination of monthly consolidated financial statements and other financial information.
    • Initiate and record Mission Health System financial and statistical transactions in a consistent and accurate manner.
    • Prepares System monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations.
    • Manage System non patient revenue and receivable processes.
    • Instills trust in System financial data and information.

    This position will be based at our North Carolina Division Office located in the South Asheville area.


    What qualifications you will need:

    • Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or a combination of Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting with 5-7 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
    • Preferred Education: Masters Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Preferred License: CPA
    • Required Experience: 2 years financial analysis, financial statement preparation, or external audit coordination experience with Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with 5-7 years of experience in healthcare environment
    • Preferred Experience: 5 years financial analysis, financial statement preparation, or external audit coordination in healthcare environment
