Manager, Financial Reporting

Location: Massillon, Ohio (Hybrid) 

The Manager, Financial Reporting will lead a dynamic team whose objectives are to provide cross-functional support and accurate and timely reporting to support the Company’s continued growth.

Key responsibilities will include oversight of external and internal reporting processes, financial statement reporting and analysis, technical accounting compliance, and leader of external audit requirements.

Your Seat at the Table 

• Develop team by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintain strong employee relationships
• Provide oversight and review of the monthly, quarterly, annual reporting processes and related financial reporting to management and external stakeholders
• Manage the consolidated audit and quarterly review processes conducted by external auditors and ensure all requests are completed in a timely fashion
• Lead implementation of policies and procedures around new technical accounting pronouncements
• Strengthen internal control policies, procedures, and review standards to mitigate key business risks
• Manage the Accounting Team’s responsibilities for annual budgeting and forecasting
• Collaborate with Tax Department on preparation and review of annual and quarterly tax provisions
• Drive standardization and best practices to continuously improve department to support a growth business
• Collaborates and provides solid business acumen with all levels of management
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Collaborate with a fast-paced team where independent thought and work-product is required
• Ability to work effectively on multiple projects, prioritize work, meet expectations and deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information while also managing a team

What You Bring to the Table

• CPA certification and minimum 4 years of “Big 4” accounting experience required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and proven ability to apply GAAP in a manufacturing setting
• Strong change management skills and ability to influence decision makers
• Proven leadership abilities with demonstrated capacity to hold team accountable to meet goals
• Excel intermediate to advanced skills required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead and collaborate in a team environment
