Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Manager manages the financial reporting staff May work with external auditors to provide requested information. May assist with the preparation of materials for board or shareholders. Additionally, Financial Reporting Manager requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Typically reports to a director. The Financial Reporting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Financial Reporting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as the Operations Reporting Manager in the Operations Management Department. 

     

    WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

    Reporting to the Operations Management Director, this position:

    • Manages and leads the development of operational dashboards, data marts, reports, and metrics in support of the Operations Division
    • Manages and leads the execution of data analysis and trending in support of the Operations Division
    • Manages and leads the Operational Reporting Unit, acts as a subject matter expert, and provides guidance on operational reporting functions and departmental operations
    • Managers, supervises, mentors and trains assigned staff

     

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE 

    • A motivated and seasoned leader within the managed care industry, with extensive experience in developing and managing operational dashboards, data marts, reports and metrics  
    • Demonstrated strength in and proactive approach to process improvement and system efficiency, specifically in data collection and reporting methodologies

    • Knowledge of:
      • The healthcare industry and managed care concepts
      • The methods and techniques of using database programs for analytical reporting purposes
      • SQL and other query language
      • Managed care research, outcomes reporting and analytics, and program outcomes evaluation
      • The principles and practices of supervision and training
    • Ability to:
      • Organize and prioritize the work of others, delegate effectively, and follow up on work assignments
      • Identify and define issues, conduct research, gather, analyze, interpret, and synthesize a wide range of complex information
      • Present strategic information, data and results in a clear and understandable manner utilizing methods appropriate to various forums
      • Demonstrate a collaborative management style, build rapport, and effectively manage internal and external business relationships
      • Adapt to or initiate change
    • Education and Experience:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Health Administration, Public Administration, Business, or a related field
      • A minimum of six years of experience in managed care, health services, or government assistance programs, which included a minimum of three years of supervisory or management level experience related to healthcare operational reporting functions and management of staff responsible for data analysis (a Master’s degree may substitute for two years of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying

     

    OTHER DETAILS

    • While this position is connected to one of our Alliance offices, we are in hybrid remote/in-office work environment right now and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely.
    • Our Alliance office locations have officially re-opened after the pandemic and while some employees may work in full-time telecommute schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
    • Based on the nature of work, this position may require onsite presence, which is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.
