Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Manager manages the financial reporting staff May work with external auditors to provide requested information. May assist with the preparation of materials for board or shareholders. Additionally, Financial Reporting Manager requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Typically reports to a director. The Financial Reporting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Financial Reporting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Responsibilities:
- Manages the preparation and submission of consolidated and legal entity financial reporting.
- Manages and reviews controls, journal entries and related disclosures for US GAAP and IFRS employee benefits plans accounting.
- Manages the annual audit as well as preparation and submission of the defined benefit and defined contribution financial statements of the Company.
- Manages the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual government reporting surveys.
- Manages the review and coordination of statutory financial statements of foreign subsidiaries.
- Ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley is maintained for responsible areas.
- Assists with ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Business required. Master's or CPA/CIA or other designation preferred.
- Five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive public and private accounting experience is required.
- People management experience preferred. Experience leading others is required.
- Industry experience with a publicly traded multinational consumer products company is preferred.
- Strong enthusiasm for technology, innovation and a fast-paced business environment.
