Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Manager manages the financial reporting staff May work with external auditors to provide requested information. SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Comptroller, the Reporting Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the HUD Inventory Management System/PIH Information Center (IMS/PIC), other HUD required systems, and HSDD’s housing software (HAPPY).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required. Other duties may be assigned.
· Serves as HSDD’s Security Coordinator for IMS/PIC.
· Creates and maintains IMS/PIC user accounts and access roles.
· Runs monthly management and executive PIC and reports.
· Runs SEMAP Indicator reports monthly for Executive team.
· Makes 50058 submissions and corrects fatal errors.
· Obtains EIV access for required users and ensures updated training and certifications.
· Maintains HAPPY software user accounts and access roles.
· Produces management and executive reports in HAPPY.
· Serves as HSDD’s liaison with Management Information System contractor.
· Monitors HSDD’s MIS hardware and software needs.
· Oversee social media communications, report web traffic and maintain a cohesive strategy across all platforms to increase brand awareness.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Advanced knowledge of HAPPY software.

· Knowledge of HUD policies, and other federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations related to assisted housing programs.

· Knowledge of report preparation techniques and ability to prepare and evaluate financial and technical reports.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Ability to understand and follow moderately complex written and oral instructions.
· Ability to communicate and relate to persons of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
· Ability to plan and prioritize duties.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree and one year MIS experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The Reporting Manager is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. While the work is primarily sedentary, excessive walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items such as books, binders, files, and documents is required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
