Financial Reporting Supervisor supervises employees responsible for the preparation and distribution of annual and/or quarterly financial statements for external use. Ensures that all documentation complies with company regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Supervisor may serve as a liaison with external auditors. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Financial Reporting Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. The Financial Reporting Analyst position will provide you with an opportunity to utilize your technical expertise to assist your team members with accurate data reporting. This position is responsible for the creation, management and distribution of standard reports; development of complex reports; and supports reporting data from the statewide data mart and Department of Health and Senior Services Access databases.
- Creates, manages and distributes standard reports.
- Development of complex reports upon request.
- Analyzes and diagnoses report problems; develops possible solutions and implements the best solution.
- Conducts testing to ensure data quality.
- Consults with end users to gather business needs and reporting requirements
- Assists users with report development and data requests
- Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.).
- Effective written and oral communications.
- Organized and detail oriented
- Microsoft Access and Excel experience.
- Tableau experience preferred, but not required. Ability and willingness to learn Tableau are imperative.
