The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping knowledge, excellent managerial skills, and a high degree of attention to detail. The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing the company's bookkeeping and accounting operations for its clients and internally, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and directing the assignments for a team of independent contract bookkeepers.

    Responsibilities:
    • Manage the company's day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
    • Experience and knowledge of financial statements, including balance sheets.
    • Must have experience reconciling balance sheet accounts.
    • Manage payroll for select clients.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements, general ledger reconciliations, and monthly and annual closing procedures.
    • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
    • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with our clients and the company’s tax professionals.
    • Provide strategic financial planning and analysis.
    • Provide support to the tax department preparing financials for tax preparation.
    • Direct the assignments of independent bookkeeping contractors, ensuring that work is completed accurately and on-time.
    • Provide guidance, support, and training to independent contractors as needed, ensuring that they are meeting company standards for quality and timeliness.
    • Work closely with independent contractors to ensure that they are following established accounting policies and procedures and adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
    Requirements:
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting, with at least 2 years of managerial experience.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
    • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
